SMARAAD Installs Two Spiral Wind Turbines in Beijing

SMARAAD has finished installing two spiral vertical-axis wind turbines at a Beijing campus site.

This spiral turbine design adapts perfectly to turbulent urban wind. It does not require wind alignment, starts at low wind speeds, and runs quietly with little vibration. The distinctive rotor shape brings both power generation and visual appeal.

Mounted on reinforced concrete foundations, these turbines can work standalone or pair with solar panels and batteries for wind-solar hybrid systems. They supply power for site lighting and monitoring equipment while acting as a renewable energy demonstration display.

Ideal for campuses, commercial plazas and building rooftops in cities, SMARAAD spiral wind turbines unlock urban wind resources for distributed on-site power.
